40 Days Meat Free Challenge – First 7 Days

For anyone who doesn’t follow my social media, I have decided to give up meat for Lent. I wouldn’t call myself a huge meat lover, but most of my midweek meals always include chicken and I rarely think of ordering a vegetarian (or fish) meal when I go out to a restaurant.

Simple Citrus Madeira Loaf Cake

Summer is well and truly coming to an end *cries endlessly* which means back to work, school and rain. But whilst it’s an end of pimms, summer fruit tarts and sun, it’s a start of hot cups of tea and warm sponge cakes and who could complain about that? This citrus madeira cake is so simple yet so delicious. The sweet aroma fills the entire house whilst cooking and makes a perfect afternoon treat snuggled on the sofa!

Easter is Coming and Mothers Day Update

Now I know I’m getting ahead of myself here… Easter is still a couple of weeks away but how can I not? The daffodils have opened, the sun is shining and there is blue skies all over the UK at the moment! Nothing makes me more excited than knowing Easter is arriving especially since that means Lent finishes and I can finally eat crips again!

Greek Easter also falls as the same weekend as Greek Easter. For me this means a day at Church but it also means BBQ heaven, with lots of food and surrounded by family.
